In addition to its successful mobile app, clients wanted to add a loyalty system to reward frequent customers. As the Senior Product Designer, I collaborated with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to design a UI for the existing web portal to allow clients to configure their own loyalty program tailored to their needs.
Tight Deadline
1 month for UI design, along with 2 months for development, to launch within 4 months.
Data Heavy
Users would need to view large amounts of data easily with little to no mental fatigue.
Functions
Multiple functions are needed to manage loyalty, including setting up campaigns and managing users.
Approachable
The UI needed to be simple enough for the average user to use easily.
Actions
Teamwork
Worked with stakeholders to create a wishlist of functions and discuss requirements.
Competitive Analysis
Researched and studied other loyalty programs seeking best practices in patterns and trends.
User Journeys and Wireframes
Outlined the user journey and designed low-fidelity wireframes to map processes and high-level UI functions.
High-fidelity Prototypes
Applied user journeys and wireframes to create prototypes used to test the viability of processes and usability with prospective users.
Dashboards and Charts
Charts and graphs on the dashboard page and various other parts of the loyalty pages to visualize data.
Step-by-Step Processes
UI that walked users through long processes by displaying only a small to moderate amount of information per step, along with helpful instructions and descriptions.
