P97 Networks, Inc. partnered with a leading financial institution to create a platform that helps settle transactions made by retail companies that use offers created by vendors. Some of the functions included creating transaction agreements, setting up online accounts, and reviewing transaction data. As the Senior Product Designer, I collaborated with Project Managers, Developers, and stakeholders to create a user interface to manage these functionalities.

Tight Deadline

1 month for UI design, along with 1 month for development, to go live in two months.

Complexity

Some of the tasks, such as onboarding and setting up financial agreements, could be challenging to complete, as there was a large amount of data that needed to be entered by the user

Approachable

This would start with minimal support, so the UI needed to be easy enough for users to understand.

Tasks

As the Senior Product Designer, I was tasked with taking the lead on designing a web-based UI that could handle challenging tasks and allow an average user to navigate and complete them easily with minimal human assistance.

Teamwork

Worked with project managers and engineers to understand requirements.

Material Library

Using the Google Material Library enabled us to complete the design in 3 weeks, leaving more than a month for development and QA.

Content Sorting

Designed a step-by-step process to prevent the user from being overwhelmed by information.

User Support

Designed UI to include brief descriptions of each step and field that needed user input.

Deadline Met

Successful launch of the site within the given timeline to the pleasure of all of our stakeholders.

Ease of Use

Step-by-step walkthrough helped keep the users from being overwhelmed by tasks and helped them complete some of the more challenging tasks within 8 minutes.

User-friendly

Instructions and descriptions on each field helped to reduce the need for a support team, giving more time to work on polishing other parts of the UI and deliver an even better user experience.
